Title

Tsoi's Wall

Subject

Once-Soviet Moscow

Description

A stretch of wall covered in eulogical grafitti dedicated to the Soviet musician Viktor Tsoi. The site is frequented by fans of Tsoi and his band Kino. Tsoi's death on August 15, 1990, spurred the first graffiti on the wall, which read "Viktor Tsoi died today" ("Сегодня погиб Виктор Цой"), and was met with the response: "Tsoi lives on!" ("Цой жив!"), a tradition that continues to the present day. The wall is located off of Moscow's Arbat Street on Krivoarbatsky Lane.
