First March for Peace, Sakharov Avenue

Approximately 30,000 people participated in the March 15 anti-war demonstrations, which were the largest opposition protests since the protests of 2011 and 2012. Demonstrators waved Ukrainian and Russian flags as well as EU flags. Some chanted “Glory to Ukraine, glory to the heroes!”, others “Down with Putin!”, “No to war!”, “No to fascism!” and “Russia without Putin!”
